About the Center
The Center for Teaching Excellence is an organization under Texas A&M University dedicated to promoting a culture of teaching excellence among University professors, lecturers, and teaching assistants by programming workshops, conferences, award ceremonies, and more. The Center's mission statement is as follows:
"Support the educational mission of Texas A&M University (TAMU) through evidence-based professional development opportunities promoting proven and innovative instructional approaches aligned with faculty and student success."
Some of the largest events put on by the CTE are the Transformational Teaching and Learning Conference, the Teaching Assistant Institute, Aggies Celebrate Teaching!, and the Academy for Future Faculty, among many others.
